Man is shot and killed at Dudley MBTA stop in Roxbury
A man believed to be in his 20s was shot and killed tonight at the Dudley MBTA stop in Roxbury, Boston police said.
David Estrada, a police spokesman, said officers responded to a report of a person shot on a bus at the station at about 9:50 p.m. He said the victim was taken to Boston Medical Center.
Boston police Superintendent-in-Chief Daniel Linskey said at the scene that the victim, a man believed to be in his early 20s, died of his injuries. He said police had two suspects in custody, and officers were working to identify everyone involved in the shooting.
Estrada could not confirm whether or not the victim was actually shot on the bus. The victim was found on the bus, according to police.
Dozens of Boston and Transit police detectives responded to the station, much of which was sealed off with crime scene tape at 10:30 p.m.
A T spokesman referred questions to Boston police. Further information was not immediately available.
