Bus with Harlem Globetrotters on board collides with car in Marlborough; no injuries reported
The Harlem Globetrotters are adept at spin moves. But it was their bus on the highway that went spinning this morning in a weather-related crash in which no injuries were reported.
The bus carrying the famed basketball exhibition team was involved in a minor crash in Marlborough along Interstate 290 eastbound this morning, State Police said.
The crash, which occurred at 8:20 a.m, involved a Pontiac G6 sedan and the 1999 Greyhound bus.
State Police spokesman David Procopio said both vehicles spun out due to winter road conditions, causing the vehicles to come into contact with each other.
The Globetrotters’ bus, registered in Texas, left the scene under its own power, State Police said. The 2007 Pontiac was towed, with the scene cleared just after 8:45 a.m.
The Pontiac was driven by a 30-year-old Auburn woman, Procopio said.
