Despite clouds filtering into skies over Boston late this morning, a delightful day is on tap, followed by a weekend with highs in the 50s, the National Weather Service said.
This afternoon, temps are poised to reach 56 degrees in Boston, with partly sunny skies and a very slight chance of showers around 3 p.m., meteorologist Charlie Foley said.
Saturday will start off cloudy, but skies will clear as the day progresses, Foley said, with temperatures in the low 50s, a few degrees cooler than today’s. Light winds will pick up at times, but it will still feel pretty good, Foley said.
Sunday, you’d do well to schedule any outdoor egg hunts for early in the day, with rain showers set to begin late in the afternoon and continuing overnight. Temperatures will still be mild, and above normal, in the mid-50s, Foley said.
Monday will start in the true month of April fashion, with scattered showers in the afternoon into the early evening and highs in the upper 50s.
The showers will usher in a stronger cold front, Foley said, bringing clear skies and below-normal temperatures in the 40s Tuesday through Thursday. Lauren Dezenski can be reached at email@example.com
