MBTA Transit Police seek help in finding man who took $4,000 flute from Park Street Station bench

MBTA Transit Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who walked out of a Boston subway station with a $4,000 flute that a woman had left behind on a bench.

The woman left the flute on a bench at Park Street station at about 11:40 a.m. on March 25.

The man retrieved the flute and got on the next train. The flute has not been returned.

Transit Police released a photo of the man, hoping to learn his identity.

Transit Police asked anyone with information to call the Criminal Investigation Unit at 617-222-1050. Those wishing to remain anonymous can use the SeeSay app or text a tip/message to 873873.
