SJC upholds Roxbury woman’s murder conviction
The state’s highest court upheld the 2009 conviction of a woman who was found guilty of the first-degree murder of her former boyfriend and another man, the district attorney’s office said Friday. Taneika Britt, 36, of Roxbury and Alexander Bolling, 29, of Mattapan were each given two life sentences for the 2007 shooting in Roxbury that killed Jesse Calhoun and Robert Turner, both 29. In her appeal, Britt argued that testimony from a third victim who said Calhoun had planned to meet her should be thrown out. The court unanimously rejected Britt’s appeal.Alli Knothe can be rached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
