A trolley on the C branch of the Green Line derailed this morning when its center wheels slipped off the rails near Coolidge Corner, said MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo.
The train had just been taken out of service due to a mechanical problem, and no passengers were aboard. The train was being moved from one track to the other when the train derailed at 10:43 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
Buses replaced trolley service on Beacon Street between Kenmore Square and Cleveland Circle, Pesaturo said. Service resumed at about 1:20 p.m.
