The Boston movie “Ted” — which has made more than $500 million worldwide, according to the Hollywood Reporter — was well represented at Variety’s Power of Comedy celebration at Avalon Hollywood on Saturday night. The movie’s director-writer, Seth MacFarlane, was honored during the festivities and was joined by the stars of “Ted” and “The Family Guy,” including Joel McHale (who served as the night’s host), Giovanni Ribisi, and Seth Green. The event benefited the Noreen Fraser Foundation, which funds women’s cancer research.
