Every year, just before Thanksgiving, local names take to the streets to bring holiday dinners to people in need. This year’s do-gooders included House Speaker Robert DeLeo, who served turkey during a pre-Thanksgiving luncheon Wednesday at Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries in Boston, Patriots owner Robert Kraft and the New England Patriots Foundation, which distributed food at Goodwill headquarters on Tuesday, and Jerry Remy, whose Jerry Remy Sports Bar & Grill donated 500 turkeys to Boston families through the Mayor’s Office. (Remy did some heavy lifting himself Tuesday morning.). . . . Meanwhile, Matt Siegel, of Kiss 108’s “Matty in the Morning,” had his annual Turkey Toss for local high schools at the Meadow Glen Mall in Medford on Wednesday. Ten teams participated in the event, which has kids throwing a very heavy frozen turkey to a partner. Everett High won the Turkey Toss for the second year in a row.
