Longtime Boston Globe society photographer Bill Brett and his daughter, photographer Kerry Brett, were at Suffolk University’s Adams Gallery on Thursday night to celebrate an exhibition featuring work from their recent book,
“Boston: Inspirational Women.” The Bretts were expected to be joined by many of their subjects (who include Mark Wahlberg’s mom, Alma, and Lexington funny lady Rachel Dratch). Boston City Council President Steve Murphy,
WGBH’s Emily Rooney, Linda Holliday, and Suffolk University President Jim McCarthy were among the locals on the guest list for the reception. The portraits will be on display through Jan. 6.
