Patriots coach Bill Belichick is a big believer in taking one game at a time. But with a 10-3 record, and not one formidable foe in the AFC, is it possible for Pats players not to look ahead? Yes, apparently it is. Tuesday, we talked to linebacker Jerod Mayo, and he didn’t know where the Super Bowl is this year. “Where?” he asked. “I got no idea. Let me tell you, I barely know what day it is.” (It’s in New Orleans.) Mayo was out and about Tuesday with Jared “the Subway Guy” Fogle as part of a promotion for the sandwich chain. Together, they did a dozen random acts of kindness. “Paying for groceries, filling up people’s gas tanks, handing out Subway sandwiches at Boston Medical Center,” said Mayo. And what’s his favorite Subway product? “Oh, definitely the chicken, bacon, and ranch on flatbread,” he said, laughing.
