Actor Patrick “McDreamy” Dempsey is getting into the coffee business. The “Grey’s Anatomy” heartthrob, who hails from Lewiston, Maine, was the winning bidder for the bankrupt Tully’s Coffee, a Seattle-based chain that has more than 500 employees. Dempsey’s group, Global Baristas, will pay $9.15 million for Tully’s, a sum that beat out six other bidders, including coffee behemoth Starbucks Corp. Late Thursday, Dempsey tweeted: “We met the green monster, looked her in the eye, and . . . SHE BLINKED! We got it! Thank you Seattle!” … In other Maine news, the Portland Press Herald reports that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is building a multimillion-dollar summer home on exclusive Prouts Neck, adjacent to the Winslow Homer Studio and the home of “Fatal Attraction” actress Glenn Close and her husband, Idexx Laboratories founder David Shaw. Goodell is married to former Fox anchor Jane Skinner , who previously worked at WCSH-TV in Portland.
