Sel de la Terre in Back Bay is closed

The Back Bay location of Sel de la Terre is closed. An employee at the restaurant — which closed its Long Wharf location last year — confirmed that service on Boylston Street stopped on Sunday night, and that the Sel de la Terre in the Natick Mall is still open. The restaurant sent us the following official statement: “Effective immediately, we have closed the Back Bay location of Sel de la Terre. We are committed to helping relocate our staff whether that be within the company or elsewhere. We are eternally grateful to our talented team members and loyal guests who have supported us over the past several years. This does not affect the Sel de la Terre location in the Natick Mall, which will continue to operate. All gift cards and promotions will be honored at the Natick location.” Frank McClelland, who runs Sel de la Terre, is also the chef-owner at L’Espalier.
