Before their show at the Paradise, Justin Young and Freddie Cowan of The Vaccines played a few tunes at the MFA, including “Teenage Icon” and “Wetsuit,” for WFNX.com listeners. Afterward, the band took a tour of the museum’s Musical Instruments Gallery with curator Darcy Kuronen , who demonstrated how to play a French harpsichord. . . . A day after trading punches with New Jersey Devils winger Krystofer Barch, Bruins forward Shawn Thornton lunched on a Cubano with mixed greens at Cafeteria on Newbury Street. . . . Just days after bassist Bill Leen collapsed on stage in New York, the Gin Blossoms played at Royale this week, and then checked out of the Revere Hotel Wednesday to hit the road.
