Patriots safety Steve Gregory and his wife, Rosanne, paid a visit to patients at UMass Memorial Children’s Medical Center Thursday as part of the team’s continuing “Celebrate Volunteerism” campaign. . . . A shout-out to the MFA’s executive chef, Tim Partridge, who prepared a special “Art of the Chef” dinner at the James Beard House in New York this week. . . . Seven-foot center Robert Sacre fortified for the Lakers’ game against the Celts with a king-size lobster at Joe Milano’s Union Oyster House. (We’re told “Next Iron Chef” Simon Majumdar was in earlier in the week and enjoyed the lobster ravioli.) . . . Kobe Bryant spent some of his free night in Boston at Game On! watching the Miami Heat game. . . . Celtics big man Kevin Garnett was name-checked on this week’s episode of “The Mindy Project.” Talking to a security guard, played by Common, Mindy Kaling said, “It’s cool if you’re into me. Kevin Garnett once bought me a Coke at a P.F. Changs.” We’re not sure if that’s true, but we hope so.
