Even a mountain of snow couldn’t keep supporters of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay indoors this weekend, as over 500 people attended the agency’s annual “Big Night” bash at the House of Blues. The fund-raiser featured a performance by Grace Potter & the Nocturnals and Sharon Jones. (Jones’s band, the Dap-Kings, couldn’t get to Boston because of the blizzicane, so she joined Potter on stage.) Still-slender comedian Lenny Clarke emceed and VIP guests included Michael Eisenson, CEO of Charlesbank Capital Partners, Tim Dibble, managing general partner of Alta Equity Partners, Paul Margolis of Longworth Venture Partners, and hockey Hall of Famer Ray Bourque. The event grossed over $1.4 million, including the money raised during the lively auction. (The opportunity to play tambourine with Potter & the Nocturnals on one song raised $10,000 alone.)
