While A-listers celebrated the Academy Awards out in Los Angeles, local names and faces reveled at Oscar parties around Boston. The Ellie Fund hosted its annual Oscar night gala at the State Room. The guest list for that screening party, which raises money for families affected by breast cancer, included “Going Yard” star (and former contestant on “The Bachelorette”) Chris Lambton, “Alphas” actor Malik Yoba, and former Red Sox star Jason Varitek. Channel 5’s Susan Wornick, Kelley Tuthill, Dorothy Krysiuk, and J.C. Monahan emceed the black-tie affair. . . . Meanwhile, on the other side of the river, the Brattle Theatre hosted a VIP pre-party for the Oscars, followed by a members-only screening of the ceremony. Down in Vineyard Haven, the Martha’s Vineyard Film Center prepared for the Oscars by screening Michael Haneke’s “Amour.” The night included a discussion about the film with staffers from Hospice of Martha’s Vineyard, including the president of the organization’s board of directors, Karen Achille, and its executive director, Terre Young.
