Sudbury’s own “Captain America” star Chris Evans brought his mom, Lisa, to the Oscars on Sunday night. Lisa Evans is artistic director of Concord Youth Theatre, and is also mom to Carly Evans, a drama teacher at Lincoln-Sudbury. Chris told Us magazine, of his date for the Academy Awards, “She’s so excited. It’s nice to remember how exciting and fun this stuff can be. Being with her brings all that back.” Other notable locals celebrating the Oscars included Pats owner Robert Kraft, with girlfriend Ricki Lander, who chatted up U2 singer Bono and his daughter actress Eve Hewson, at Elton John’s annual Oscar party in West Hollywood; “The Silver Linings Playbook” author and Holden resident Matthew Quick, who brought his author-musician wife, Alicia Bessette; Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler; Pittsfield’s Elizabeth Banks, who hung with Richard Gere; Burlington’s Amy Poehler; Cohasset’s Kate Bosworth; and New Hampshire’s Sarah Silverman. We also paid particularly close attention to actors at the Oscars who are expected to film movies around Boston this spring. They include Mark Ruffalo and Zoe Saldana, who are starring in “Infinitely Polar Bear,” and best actress Jennifer Lawrence, who’s set to join her “Silver Linings Playbook” director David O. Russell and costar Bradley Cooper in a local movie based on the Abscam scandal of the late 1970s.
