Ben Affleck will chair Varvatos event

Recent Oscar winner Ben Affleck and his wife, actress Jennifer Garner, will cochair designer John Varvatos’s annual Stuart House Benefit, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The event raises money for the California center, which helps sexually abused children. The party, which draws a ton of celebs every year, should be a bit of a local affair. Besides Ben, Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler is expected to perform. In other Affleck news, the “Argo” director has reportedly shaved his beard. E! says it has confirmed that Affleck gave himself a much-needed shave during an Oscars after-party.
