Out in force for ‘Boston’s Finest’ premiere

“Boston’s Finest,” the new TNT reality show focused on the BPD’s gang unit, fugitive task force, and SWAT team, debuted Wednesday and a few of the boys — and girls — in blue gathered to watch it at the Blarney Stone. The show, produced by brothers Donnie and Bob Wahlberg (with Seth Jarrett and Julie Insogna-Jarrett) is getting decent reviews, far better than those received by that other new Boston-based reality show, “Southie Rules.” “What we’re hoping for is that the city is proud of the Police Department and of the show,” Bob Wahlberg told us. “Unless you live next to a [police officer] or have one in the family, you don’t see the human side.” . . . Pats defensive end Chandler Jones spent at least part of his 23d birthday Wednesday on the campus of Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill. Jones, who was with a buddy, took a bunch of photos with students, including the baseball team. . . . Celts Jared Sullinger and Keyon Dooling visited students at the BTU Pilot K-8 School Wednesday as part of the team's “Stay in School” program.
