What was with that sweet ride on Newbury Street Friday? Boston Motorsports Club hosted an event at the apparel store Alton Lane, and the star was a melon-colored McLaren MP4 12C Spyder (retail value $300,000.) Boston Motorsports Club, a supercar club founded by Michael DiGiorgio of Reading, lets members drive a selection of slick cars without the hassles — or expense — of ownership. The guest list at Friday’s launch event included Rich Doucette of the Boston Cup Classic Car Show, Magellan Jets CEO Josh Hebert, InterContinental Hotel GM Tim Kirwan, XV Beacon’s Isaac Nyarko, and the Four Seasons Hotel’s Michel Volk.
