Bradley Cooper gets to work on David O. Russell movie in Boston
“Silver Linings Playbook” director David O. Russell started shooting his ’70s movie around Boston this week, which means that A-list actors such as Bradley Cooper are walking around town in hair rollers. Cooper was spotted coming out of his local trailer in these adorable little pink curlers on Friday. His costar Amy Adams was also seen on set. Jeremy Renner, Jennifer Lawrence, and Christian Bale should also be in town for the project, which is expected to shoot in the area for two months. The film is based on the Abscam sting operation of the late ’70s/early ’80s. Boston Casting sent out a call this weekend for “handsome Burt Reynolds/Marlboro Man types to work as an extra” in the film. “We need dark, hairy handsome men, preferably with bushy mustaches. This scene will be shooting this Wednesday in the Boston area,” the casting call said. (If you fit the bill and are free Wednesday, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.) A note on Cooper — he was spotted sans rollers at Bricco in the North End on Saturday night.
