Angie Miller continued to receive good notices on “American Idol” Wednesday for her performance during Beatles theme night. And viewers also got a quick peek at her hometown of Beverly. The Fox singing competition came to the North Shore town to interview Miller’s proud parents, Tana and Guy, and brother, Jonathan. During the show Miller performed a gentle version of the Fab Four classic “Yesterday” to rave reviews from the judges. Randy Jackson called her rendition stellar and told her to embrace her “rock edge.” Mariah Carey appreciated Miller’s “respectful” take on the song and of her outfit said, “The ensemble is pow!” Keith Urban observed that, although he could sometimes see her overthinking, he always heard her personality and style loud and clear. And Nicki Minaj declared that Miller was “unbelievably amazing.” Miller will find out on Thursday if enough people voted for her to make it through to the top eight finalists. (Sarah Rodman)
