The Independent Film Festival Boston, which runs from April 24-30, announced its lineup on Wednesday. We already knew that Casey Affleck had signed on as the festival’s creative adviser, so it’s no surprise that he’s on the roster of famous folks who’ll appear during the week. Other stars who’ve signed up to come to town include Lake Bell (inset), who’ll show her film “In a World. . .”; Bobcat Goldthwait, who’ll show his film “Willow Creek”; Alex Winter (a.k.a. Bill from “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure”), who’ll show his documentary “Downloaded”; and Boston’s own Andrew Bujalski, who’ll show “Computer Chess.” Other films on the list include Joss Whedon’s “Much Ado About Nothing,” “Prince Avalanche,” which stars Paul Rudd, and ”Stories We Tell” by Sarah Polley.
