Affleck and Damon sitcom lands at CBS
After what was characterized by Deadline.com as a “heated bidding war,” a sitcom produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon has been picked up by CBS. The 30-minute show, called “More Time With Family,” stars comedian Tom Papa and is based on Papa’s stand-up and the experiences of Damon. The pilot is about a guy who changes careers, giving up a life on the road to spend more time at home with his family, only to discover no one asked him to do that. Papa and Damon worked together on the movies “The Informant” and “Behind The Candelabra.” The show will be written by Cathy Yuspa and Josh Goldsmith, whose credits include “The King of Queens.” . . . Excited to see Justin Timberlake at TD Garden next month? Too bad. JT, who costars with Affleck in the new movie “Runner Runner,” has rescheduled his Nov. 4 show for July 19. Apparently rehearsals for the tour have been extended, which explains the postponement.
