Alejandro Sanz picks up a degree at Berklee College of Music

International star Alejandro Sanz, who’s won almost 20 Grammys (16 regular and three Latin), and appears on our favorite Shakira song, “La Tortura,” received an honorary doctorate at Berklee College of Music on Wednesday night. The evening included a concert called “Alejandro Sanz Meets Berklee,” in which students performed for — and with — the star. Sanz has had a long relationship with the school. Earlier this year, Berklee kids in Javier Limon’s class created a viral video for Sanz’s hit “La Música No Se Toca.” Last we checked, it had more than 100,000 views on his Vevo page.
