from Malden chop-shop

By Associated Press, 01/09/03

State and local police today raided an alleged motorcycle chop-shop in Malden.

Police said they recovered a half-million dollars in stolen motorcycles, cycle parts and several other items believed to have been stolen in the Malden area.

A month-long investigation by the Governor's Auto Theft Strike Force, Malden police and the National Insurance Crime Bureau led to the arrest this morning of Robert Gramolini of Malden, owner of Bob's Custom Cycles on Clinton Street.

He was charged with receiving stolen property and pleaded innocent in Malden District Court. Gramolini was released after posting $5,000 bail.
