Al, Boston
As a Red Sox fan, there is a great hate and anger to any New York Yankee fan. Each win, is a piercing blow to Boston's pride.
However, after the events that conspired, I will root for the Yankees in the playoffs and to win the World Series this year. The city of New York needs to be happy. Civilians, Police men, Fire men, officials, and business men all alike, need this.
To show the world that despite what they may do to the American people, that they cannot take away the pride of a Nation.
Melissa, Nashua, NH
Although afraid, I wake up this morning feeling proud to be an American. This terrible tragedy will no doubt bring us closer to eachother as citizens. It will not matter what political party you are supporting, what kind of job you hold or where you come from, we are all Americans and our freedom and our way of life is in jeopardy. We will follow in the footsteps of our forefathers who have, many times over, fought to make our country what it is today. I will proudly display our flag today and the days to come. We will never be same, we will be stronger.
Rich Yanni, Falmouth
I feel frustrated that with all of our modern technology, we could not prevent such a cowardly attack from occuring. Innocent children, mothers, and fathers have died. Once we know who lead this attack, we need to respond quickly and without remorse against the factions involved. We shall rise from this horrific day of our history. My thoughts and prayers to all of the vistims and their families.
Steve, Ashland
I'm scared for the future of our kids. This horrible incident will give our children very insecure feelings - like none us have felt before. This is because it's real and we all saw it.
Julie, Allston
I feel so many different emotions...I am angry that someone would attack not only our country, but use civilians to do it...I am sad for the thousands of innocent people injured or killed...I feel vengeful and want the responsible parties to pay for what they have done...I feel that perhaps we have felt a false sense of security all these years, that this was probably an inevitable event and we should know that the US is not immune to such threats...I am hopeful that we will all find the strength to unify and rally behind our leaders so that we can rebuild our infrastructures and our trust that justice will prevail.
F.O, Falmouth
What has happened in this Country is unthinkable, and to see the celebration in Lebanon, Osama bin Laden and the rest of the Palastinians in the Ein El-Hilweh in Lebanon or the Shatila in Beirut must be dealt with in a unthinkable manner as well. I just Thank God that we live in a Great Nation that will not let this attack go unpunnished. I just hope it is dealt with thuroghly to prevent such thing from happening in the future. God Bless
Steven, East Haven, CT
I am not afraid...
I am upset and I believe we should invade Afghanistan and destroy the Taliban and Osama bin Laden should be tortured and killed.
All US Resources should be used to bring about his demise.
Tom R, Auburn
I personally feel Lost.
When I think of that image of the second Plane caught on tape hitting the tower I just get overcome with emotion..
When I do find a time to just sit and be in silence I put myself in those victims shoes and I wonder what at that moment I would have been feeling..
To wake up and not know your own lifes fate is a terrible feeling..
I was able to wake up this morning and be around the ones I love, and it brings me to much sorrow to think of those victims and their families who can't say the same..
My heart and my prayers go out to all the victims in this tragedy.
I guess though in a matter of speaking:
THAT IS ALL OF
Al, Weymouth
I hope we have learnt that we can't work within our own criminal-friendly justice system. When the last WTC bombing happened, we found the criminals responsible and sentenced them. They have a word for those people - patsies. Convict 8 and they'll send another 80, we must destroy the root of this terrorist organizations, not the leaves.
J.R., Woburn
Why does always come to a disaster to enact security? Continued traffic accidents at a particular site, then when someone is finally killed, a traffic light is finally erected. When are the higher-ups going to wake up??? We have been been hit before, most assuredly nothing like yesterday, but America has always taken the stand not to attack and to protect those innocent, the women and children of the foreign countries. Look at how they responded yesterday, celebrating, young children inlcuded, and the passing out of candy? Wake up America, take care of your homesite first, and damned the fools who try to take it away from you. They have no thought for women and children, they use they in their plots and these fanantics don't care about life. I hope those responsible suffer a very long, very slow torturous death, and that communications overtakes the wave lines and televises nothing but this scene in their country for days and we are being subjected to our agony on our soil.
