Michele, Boston
To have something so clsoe to home makes me worry about my life and the what the furture holds. Then I think how selfish of me becasue there are so many people that lost there lives unexpectedly. I am still able to see and hold my family and they are not nor their families. I would like everyone to join in expressing there sorrow in greif to make sure that we, as Americans, are heard. We will not stand for this. We will make sure that this ABSOLUTELY will not happen again. Stand Tall America, we will get through this!!!!

Jaimie Li, Taipei, Taiwan
We all have seen this terrible thing happened in the United States on TV and all felt horrible and unbelievable. American people, the whole world is standing by your side. To the people who lost their beloved ones in this hijack attack, may God give you all the strenth to go through the tough time. God bless.

Pamela Oliver, Winthrop
I too hope that all those that are gone didn't suffer too much. We must all fight for Americans that were lost, this is a very personal thing that happened. These people have been here for years, quietly working for their God....some are honest people, looking for the American dream and for those I feel very sorry that they will probably be going through their own mourning at this time. But, those people who helped the cause, working among us in airports and cabs and markets around this world, while meeting secretly to overthrow or try to cause harm to Americans shall be punished and the anger it brings I can feel in my stomach like some sick infection ---- we must be strong and be there for our children and other loved ones. This whole week -- we will watch TV and listen to radios and web-papers in horrific silence ---- it is a sad thing that has happened and it will never be forgotten --- I just pray that it doesn't get too much closer than my heart knows it will. Chin Up!

Jenn Saint, S. Boston
I can not imagine the pain of those people that have lost family members, friends, co-workers, or some one that you know through another person, or some one who was affected by this horrible act of war. But I do feel the pain for these people in my heart and soul every day I wake up and every night I rest my head to sleep, every morning on the bus ride into work downtown and on the bus ride home to Southie. I cry through out my day and wonder why I am so fortunate to still be here alive. I can only share my thoughts and concern and love with everyone. We are all a family in our country and I am confident that the terrible, creatures who have done this to us will get this, ten fold. With all of my heart, Jenn

It's terrorist actions like Tuesday's attack that will unite the civilized world behind one common objective: destroy terrorists in the world and severely punish countries that are sympathetic to their causes. God bless those who lost their lives and their friends and families. God bless America.

Norma Tareila-Matley, Tewksbury
From the depths of my soul I pray for all of you. We must stay strong and become united ... I challenge everyone to raise the AMERICAN FLAG. If you have one of those cute colorful story flags hanging from your front door REPLACE it now with the stars and stripes and as your raise it say a prayer for the victims. Not only will this show the world we are united but it will show the families of the victims we care.

Jose Galavis, Cambridge
It is indeed a sorrowful time right now and everyone seems to be quieted by the shock of it all.Good people seem to know how to say the right thing when a tragedy like this occurs especially those who have experienced similiar events in their own country, or are intelligent to know the impact such has on the citizens. So, Americans like me recognize how lucky we are to have friends around the world telling us how sorry they and their fellow countrymen feel about this tragedy. It especially saddens me that two of the planes were hijacked from Boston, such a safe city in the minds of the world community.

Theo Wagner, Tucson, Arizona
I share the same sympathies as all Americans for the tragic loss of young, highly educated and talented lives that were claimed with this disaster. Perhaps it could have been avoided had our federal and state agencies been more sensitive to the ever growing threats and seriousness to public security. Although difficult to realize and accept, we are now living in an international environment and therefore we are all vulnerable to international acts. Perhaps from here we will have less apathy. I feel especially guilty and irresponsible as should our government agencies when foreign visitors cannot be guaranteed safety in the U.S. I also hope that our Arabic - Muslim communities who are responsible, honest and ethical people and ask nothing from society, will not be scrutinzed or harassed because of their ethnicity and the misdeeds of a few fanatics. We have plenty of our own hate groups here in the U.S. who are American citizens and the Oklahoma City disaster had little to do with national origin or ethnicity.

Jane, Mass.
I send my thoughts and prayers to to victims and their families. Also I hope we fight back this is a wake up call and I think we should not hold back. We need to get the people who did this ASAP. I also think that those who are going trying to find bodies and survivors are heros. God bless you!!

Julie, Brighton
My thoughts and prayers are with all of the firefighers and police officers families at this time of dispare in NYC. Prayers go out to all of the victims of this shameless act upon us that all Americans have to deal with. The world which we live in, is never going to be the same. GOD BLESS AMERICA!
