OXFORD, Conn. (AP) — State police think carbon monoxide poisoning caused the deaths of an Oxford man and his three dogs.

Troopers say they don’t know yet how long the man and the dogs were dead before their bodies were discovered Monday in a home on Silano Drive. Authorities don’t believe the deaths were the result of a crime.

The man’s name hasn’t been released.

An autopsy was planned at the chief medical examiner’s office to try to determine the cause of death.end of story marker
