Plymouth ATV crash victim identified as student

PLYMOUTH, Mass. (AP) — The rider of an all-terrain vehicle who died in a crash with a dirt bike in Plymouth over the weekend has been identified as a 14-year-old Plymouth North High School student.

Police say James Ward died after the collision on a trail near the Carver line at about 2 p.m. Sunday. Ward was about a week away from his 15th birthday.

Plymouth school officials say grief counselors will be at Plymouth North on Monday.

The rider of the dirt bike left the scene after the crash. Police say he was a man in his 40s who was also injured and went to the hospital.

The crash remains under investigat6ion and no charges have been filed.end of story marker
