Mass. police arrest 2 in stolen car, find cash
BOSTON (AP) — Authorities are seeking a possible link between two bank robberies and a woman and man arrested in a stolen vehicle containing $7,000 in cash.
Police contacted a bank robbery task force headed by the FBI to determine if the money found in a car driven by 30-year-old Andrea Koutis of Arlington is connected to banks robbed in Arlington and Waltham on Tuesday.
A state trooper, acting on information from Watertown police, spotted the stolen car around 4:55 p.m. and began chasing it. Arrested were Koutis and her passenger, 35-year-old Erik Stout of Somerville.
She is charged with operating a stolen motor vehicle and other motor vehicle charges and Stout is charged with resisting arresting and disorderly conduct. They are being held pending bail and could not be reached for comment.
