Snowstorm cleanup and an uncertain weather forecast caused Mayor Linda Balzotti last week to reschedule her annual State of the City address. The speech was to take place last Monday during the regular meeting of the Brockton City Council. It has now been postponed to the next meeting, on Feb. 25 at 8 p.m., and will take place in the City Council Chambers at City Hall. Balzotti is seeking a third term as mayor in this year’s election. So far, two possible candidates, resident and activist Ron Matta, and Ward 7 City Councilman Christopher MacMillan, have indicated interest in challenging her for the job. end of story marker
