Rep. Pedone leaving for education job

To lead presidents’ council in state’s university system

State Representative Vincent Pedone, a Worcester Democrat and chairman of the Committee on Bills in Third Reading, will leave the Legislature to accept a job as the new executive officer of the Council of Presidents of the Massachusetts State University System. Pedone, 44, is serving his 10th term in the House of Representatives where he worked to secure funding for the new University of Massachusetts Medical School research building.
