Lease for Ulin Ice Rink

Milton special Town Meeting members unanimously approved a warrant article this week that will allow the town to lease the Max Ulin Ice Rink from the state for $1 a year for up to 25 years. Curry College currently manages the rink and will most likely continue to do so with the new agreement. Governor Deval Patrick signed a legislative amendment late last year allowing Milton, with Town Meeting approval, to lease the rink from the state, which handed over management of the rink to the town after losing nearly $400,000 a year running it. - Natalie Feulner
