The Massachusetts Parole Board on Thursday announced decisions to parole three convicted murderers, marking the first time a so-called lifer has been granted early release from prison since the 2010 fatal shooting of Woburn police Officer John Maguire by a career criminal who had been paroled while serving three life sentences.
