The Mega Millions jackpot has grown to an estimated $640 million - the largest lottery prize in history, according to the Massachusetts Lottery. The new estimate of the winning was announced Friday morning after officials from participating states spoke with each other and assessed the volume of ticket sales. The drawing was to be held at 11:24 Friday night. “It gives you a chance to dream,’’ Ginny Trainor, 58, said outside a Dorchester convenience store.
