The Sisters of Charity will celebrate their 125th anniversary in the Archdiocese of Boston from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m., April 12, at the Lantana in Randolph. The congregation, established in Halifax, Nova Scotia, in 1849, has had a strong presence in Massachusetts since 1887, when members arrived to teach at Roxbury’s St. Patrick School. They continue to teach students from kindergarten to the university level, and work in health care, social service, and pastoral care in New England. The evening will feature a buffet and raffles. Entertainment will be provided by the Archdiocese of Boston Black Catholic Choir. Berklee College of Music student Amon Robinson will also perform. WBZ’s Dan Rea will emcee. All proceeds from the event will benefit the sisters’ ministries, along with their health care and retirement needs. For tickets, which are $60 each, call 781-997-1210. - Christine Legere
