North Shore Community College is offering area veterans an opportunity to receive some free assistance in seeking employment and benefits. This Tuesday North Shore is holding a Veterans and Community Career & Benefits Fair, from 2:30-5:30 p.m. in the college’s Lynn campus gymnasium, 300 Broad St. The event is free and open to all present and former military personnel and their families, as well as the general public. It will provide participants the chance to speak with representatives of veteran-friendly companies, agencies, and programs about job opportunities and their eligibility for GI Bill and other benefits. North Shore is presenting the program in collaboration with the North Shore Career Center, the North Shore Workforce Investment Board, and Salem State University. For more information, contact Kristine Babcock at 978-762-4187, or kbabcock@northshore.edu. - John Laidler
