FORT WORTH, Texas—American Airlines has reached a codeshare agreement with Air Tahiti Nui.
The deal was announced Wednesday by Fort Worth-based American and the international airline of Tahiti. The plan still requires U.S. Department of Transportation approval.
The agreement would let American place its code on Air Tahiti Nui flights between Los Angeles International Airport and Papeete Faa'a International Airport.
Air Tahiti Nui seeks to place its code on American flights from Los Angeles to more than 15 U.S. cities, including New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Chicago, Boston, Dallas-Fort Worth, Miami and Washington D.C.
