‘She’s in love,’ lawyer says; families hear no remorse
An unrepentant Catherine Greig remained loyal to her gangster boyfriend James “Whitey’’ Bulger to the end, voicing no regrets Tuesday even as she faced the furious families of his alleged victims and was sentenced to eight years in prison for helping him evade capture for more than 16 years. Minutes after the gray-haired, 61-year-old Greig shuffled out of court, her lawyer told reporters that her love for 82-year-old Bulger was unshaken.
