New director for recreation area

Matthew Northrup has been named the seasonal director of Bare Hill Pond, the town’s venue for swimming and boating activities. Northrup, who coaches the coeducation swim team and the boys’ lacrosse team at the town’s Bromfield School, succeeds Bizzy Herblesheimer, who resigned last year. Northrup lives in Boston and is a Boston College graduate.
