Towers about to rise on newest Maine wind farm

Towers are beginning to take form as construction progresses at Maine’s newest wind farm. All of the tower sections have arrived by ship at Searsport and will be delivered over a matter of weeks to the Bull Hill site outside of Ellsworth. The builder, First Wind, says 16 of the 19 turbine pads have been built, and wind blades and generators are expected to be attached to the towers in the next two weeks.
