Orange Line weekend diversion
Despite the tunnel problems and extra service on the MBTA's Orange Line, the agency is moving ahead with a bus diversion this weekend. Here are the details:
From the start of service Saturday, July 22nd through end of service Sunday, July 23rd, inbound and outbound Orange Line service between Oak Grove and Haymarket Stations will be replaced with buses. This replacement service will provide workers access to the right-of-way to perform necessary signal work. Buses will make all stops between Oak Grove and Haymarket Stations and MBTA Orange Line and Bus personnel will be available to direct customers to the replacement service. Customers using the following stations in both directions must board at each station's designated location:
Haymarket - @ station in busway
North Station - @ Causeway & N. Washington St.
Community College - @ Rutherford Avenue after Austin St.
Sullivan Square - @ station in busway
Wellington - @ station in busway
Malden - @ station in the busway (Commercial St. side)
Oak Grove - @ station in the busway
NOTE: THERE WILL BE NO ORANGE LINE SERVICE BETWEEN HAYMARKET AND STATE STREET STATIONS IN BOTH DIRECTIONS.
