    Since my election to the state Senate in 2010, I have served as chairwoman of the Joint Committee on Tourism, Arts, and Cultural Development; vice chairwoman of the Joint Committee on Higher Education, and on the Joint Committees on Community Development and Small Business, Economic Development and Emerging Technologies, and Telecommunications, Utilities and Energy.
