WASHINGTON – Harvard graduate and law professor Ganesh Sitaraman joined Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren’s staff as senior counsel, aides announced Wednesday.

The latest addition to Warren’s office served as policy director during the Bay State senator’s 2012 campaign and previously advised her when she sat on the congressional panel overseeing the 2008 bank bailout. Sitaraman graduated from Harvard College and Harvard Law School, where he was Warren’s student. He returned to Cambridge in 2008 to become the law school’s inaugural Public Law Fellow.
