Jordan Lynch, Northern Illinois
Northern Illinois quarterback Jordan Lynch led NIU to a 12-0 regular season – the first in school history – and their fourth consecutive MAC West title. NIU, ranked No. 14 in the country, was looking to get into their second straight BCS Bowl game, after having appeared in the Orange Bowl in 2012. It was not to be, however, as NIU was upset by Bowling Green in the MAC Championship, 47-27, ending their chances of another BCS bowl appearance. Lynch passed for 2,676 yards with 23 touchdowns and seven interceptions this season. Lynch is also dangerous on his feet, as he had 22 rushing touchdowns on the year, including three to go along with his QB record-321 rushing yards Nov. 26 against Western Michigan.
