Inside Jerry Remy’s Sports Bar and Grill on the waterfront, Boston College alumni, decked out in maroon and yellow, cheered loudly and clinked their drinks in celebration after their hockey team won 4 to 1 against Ferris State in the NCAA “Frozen Four’’ Championship. After an intense, scoreless second period, the Eagles popped in a goal that gave nervous fans a fresh breath of air, making the score 3 to 1 with less than 10 minutes left on the clock.
