On a night when the running game was a top priority, the Patriots couldn't get out of first gear and were stomped by the Giants in a 19-14 loss. Adam "Pacman" Jones did what he had to do to get back into the NFL for real. He stayed out of trouble. The cornerback-kick returner was fully reinstated yesterday from his 17-month NFL suspension, which followed an accumulation of arrests and legal problems. (Boston Globe, 12 a.m.)

Adding intrigue - and possibly horseplay - to the situation was a set of crutches that had been propped up in Brady's locker, one day after reporters spied a walking boot there. Kickoff for Hall is on target
All systems are go for the inaugural induction weekend at The Hall at Patriot Place, which will be highlighted by a re-induction of 12 Patriots Hall of Famers in a ceremony that is free and open to the public at 3 p.m. on Sept. 20 in the plaza outside The Hall.
