The Patriots addressed another need Thursday by signing All-Pro returner Leon Washington, who was released by the Seattle Seahawks.

Washington tweeted “#Blessed. Lets Go #Pats,” and posted a picture of himself on his website wearing a Patriots hat.

Washington, who signed a one-year deal, according to NFL.com, returned four kickoffs for touchdowns in his three-year career with the Seahawks. He also played four years with the Jets, returning four kickoffs for TDs. Washington also returns punts.

Washington, 30, also plays running back and is a good receiver out of the backfield.

The move raises questions about the future of running back Danny Woodhead, who has not been re-signed by the Patriots.
