As Brandon Jones ducked into the huddle during Patriots rookie minicamp Friday, he did so with the added level of comfort that came with having three of his former teammates by his side.
The Patriots selected three Scarlet Knights — cornerback Logan Ryan, safety Duron Harmon, and linebacker Steve Beauharnais — in last weekend’s draft and then adding Jones, the 6-foot-1-inch cornerback who went undrafted.
Having three recent teammates already with the Patriots made the decision to come to New England “a no-brainer” for Jones.
Along with Devin McCourty (Class of 2010) and Justin Francis (2012), there are six Scarlet Knights on the roster currently, and all play on the defensive side of the ball. For the new quartet, there have been definite moments of deja vu. Full story for BostonGlobe.com subscribers.
